Stewart Lake County Park Native Grass Seed Spreading
Event Dates
- Sunday, 03/20/2022 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Event Description
Are you getting Spring Fever and can't wait to get outdoors? Well, here is your chance to do some planting in our great Stewart Lake Park!
On Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Friends of Stewart Park will host a final seed spreading event. Grass seed will be braodcast in the Oak Trail area, native prairie grass seed will be spread north of the Upper Trail, and native savannah grass will be seeded to the southeast of that trail.
Volunteers are needed and will meet at the end of Blue View Drive at 1 p.m.; or join us along the trail anytime up to 3 p.m.
Get out and enjoy our early spring weather, either on your own, or with your family. This is a great way to give back to this beautiful park.
