Event Description
Join Friends of Donald Park as we continue our work to maintain the park's ecological richness. We will target areas where healthy and sometimes uncommon populations of native plants grow and where we have an opportunity to control garlic mustard before it takes over. Listen to birds, observe the wildflowers, and hand pull this invasive plant with other dedicated volunteers. Bring water, garden gloves and a favorite weeding tool if you have one. (We provide homemade cookies at break time). Long sleeves and long pants recommended, along with sturdy closed-toe shoes and a hat.
Contact work party leader Liz McBride - elizabeth-mcbride@sbcglobal.net/608-698-2753 for meeting location as work areas vary.
