Pull garlic mustard at Indian Lake
Event Dates
- Saturday, 05/28/2022 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Event Description
Join the Friends of Indian Lake to help remove garlic mustard and other invasive plants from the park. We'll be working in the new savanna restoration area along the chapel ridge. Gardening gloves would be useful. Parts of the slope can be steep so wear sturdy boots or shoes. Please register in advance using the event website link so we know how many people to expect.
We're meeting in the main Indian Lake parking lot at 9:00 a.m. but if you arrive later, walk up toward the chapel and look along the south slope of the ridge. Please call or text Jeff at (608) 220-8042 if you need help finding the group.
More information about the savanna restoration project is available on the project website: https://www.danecountyparks.com/parksproject/detail/IndianLakeRestoration W
Location
Indian Lake County Park (8183 highway 19, Cross Plains). Meet in the main parking lot.
