Restoration Workday at Donald County Park

This winter we will focus on opening up a woodland area to expose beautiful old oak trees and young bur oak saplings. We will work in teams using hand tools, and no experience is necessary, just a love for the natural world and a desire to help out.

What to wear: Dress in Layers so you can make adjustments if you warm up or cool down,

What to bring: Please bring water. We provide tools but feel free to bring a lopper if you have one. Meeting Location: Farmstead area. Enter the park on Sutter Drive and proceed to the end of the road, past the "no park access" signs and park in the circular area near the barn.

If you would like to join us please RSVP to the team leader, Liz McBride, at elizabeth-mcbride@sbcglobal.net by the Friday before the workday so we can bring enough tools and can reach you if we need to cancel.
