Rain Garden Planting at Fish Camp County Park

Event Description
Join Dane County staff to install new native plant gardens at Fish Camp County Park! There have been considerable site changes at this park due to the Lower Yahara River Trail Phase 2 construction, and now is the time to beautify things a bit and add more water run-off filtration systems. We will be planting native plant plugs (small, 2.5" pots) into designated rain garden basins. No prior experience is needed. All tools and training will be provided. Groups (students or other) need to contact our Volunteer Coordinator directly to register and talk over logistics.
Registration Required: Please sign up on our MyImpact volunteer portal so that we know how many people to expect and have enough tools and materials for everyone.
Location
Meet in the parking lot adjacent to the Net House* at Fish Camp County Park - 3383 County Rd, McFarland, WI 53558
- Our planting area will be close to the buildings, so if arriving late you shouldn't have trouble finding the group.
- *Note: this is NOT the boat launch parking lot. If you've gotten to the boat launch, you've gone one parking lot too far.
