Rag Weaving Workshop
Event Dates
- Saturday, 03/08/2025 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Event Description
Rag rug weaving is an excellent way to recycle and upgrade cloth into something functional, beautiful and homemade. Historically, these creations were used as rugs all over the house, but today you could use them for just about anything from a bed cover to a wall hanging. In this class, you will learn how to make a 15" x 20" rag placemat or cushion. The class will begin at 10:00 a.m. (arrive a bit early to get settled to be able to start on time) and will end around 3:00 p.m. All materials will be furnished. If special colors are desired, please bring old bedsheets or other fabric of your choice. Bring a sack lunch, something to drink and a sharp pair of scissors. Saturday, March 8th 2025 10 am - 3 pm in the Center for Rural History $58 per person
