Salmo Pond is an 8-acre county park that offers shoreline fishing, three accessible fishing piers, two accessible shore fishing stations and picnic areas. It contains a 3-acre lake (formerly a rock quarry) with a maximum depth of 15 ft. Fish species primarily include panfish and trout. The park entrance is located on Scherbel Road, 1.5 miles west of the Village of Cross Plains and south of USH 14.
Nearby Festge County Park is north of USH 14, and offers hiking, shelters, picnic areas, play equipment and a scenic overlook.
