The 137-acre North Mendota Hyer Rd Unit Wildlife Area is a public hunting area that is primarily ditched crop fields that offer limited waterfowl and deer hunting opportunities.  A small natural surface parking lot is located off of Hyer Road.

• Trapping is prohibited on this property by Dane County Board Action.  These lands are not required by the State to be open to hunting or trapping.
