Dane County Parks offers a variety opportunities for mountain bikers and includes single-track mountain bike trails at three locations throughout the year (including winter). A permit is required for mountain bikers 16 years old and older and can be purchased online or by calling the office at (608) 224-3730.

Badger Prairie County Park offers 3.4 miles of mountain biking trails in a scenic setting just east of Verona. The trails can be accessed via the mountain bike trailhead and Shelter #1 parking lot. The trail system also connects to the Military Ridge State Trail via the Ice Age Junction Bike Trail.
CamRock County Park boasts over 9 miles of excellent mountain biking trails for riders of all skill levels. These trails were developed with help from Capital Off-Road Pathfinders (CORP). The Shelter #2 and Shelter #3 parking lots offer easy access to the trails, with additional access available from the CamRock Trail (2.4 mile multi-use trail).
The Seminole Mountain Bike Trails are located within the Lewis Nine Springs E-Way and offer two beginner-intermediate level loops totaling 2.3 miles. Trails can be accessed via the Dawley Bike Hub parking lot or via the bicycle roundabout to the northwest.
